This 53 seat version in undergoing 'The works' at Roadliner's Banbury Road depot and will sport the metallic green and black livery and enjoy a lavish interior refurbishment.  The project should take in the region of four months to complete.  Enthusiasts will be welcome to photograph the vehicle at our Banbury Road depot on Friday 13th April 2007 prior to it's journey to Brighton.  Managing Director Mark Self warns preservationists "Be prepared to see a Leyland Royal Tiger Doyen like you have never seen one before! This futuristic vehicle was always way ahead of it's time.  With this in mind, we intend to make a few modifications to the old girl to really show the vehicle's potential at Brighton. I have called this project 'Preservation with attitude!'  Hold tight!"

UPDATE 4th April 2007

Owing to circumstances beyond our control, work on our Leyland Royal Tiger Doyen has been delayed and as a result, it will not now be entering the UK Coach Rally at Brighton, as detailed above.

Enthusiasts are advised that this vehicle can regularly be seen operating light duties in the town and further afield.  Keep your eyes peeled!

This vehicle carries a chassis number of RTC87.17 and was originally registered E785 BTV. A second Leyland Royal Tiger (E46 TYG) arrived on 21st November 2006 with a view to using this Tiger as a donor vehicle for spares, etc. As it happens, this second vehicle carries the next chassis number, RTC87.18 !  E46 TYG carries a plain white livery and was new to West Riding in January 1988.
