Roadliner has achieved it's goal for 2006 by being awarded the accreditation of CoachMarque - the coach industry's benchmark for quality. This means that Roadliner has been awarded the 'treble' this year - CoachMarque, Bus Operator Of The Year and 3 trophies at the UK Coach Rally. CoachMarque proves to customers new and old that our vehicles and practices have been independently audited and achieve the highest possible standards within the industry.

Roadliner is pleased to advise that it's 2007 fleet plan has been unexpectedly brought forward due to an over-full order book through the winter months.  Plans to add a brand new 55 seat tour coach to the fleet in the Spring have been brought forward to cover the demand through the colder months.  Built in Spain, this vehicle should arrive late November / early December to cover the extra workload.

Roadliner is very proud to advise that it won Best Bus Operator 1 - 10 vehicles for it's prestigious Rossmore Flyer route.  Mark Self said "Our investment in top notch vehicles and superb driver training proved to the judging panel that we mean business when it comes to providing good bus services".  He added "This award takes pride of place in the company's bulging trophy cabinet and is a reminder to all staff to keep standards high if we want to retain the title for a further year".

It is with regret that we inform the kind people of Poole & Wimborne that Roadliner will no longer operate services 7A, 7B & 32 from the end of September this year.

The recent tender process to operate these journeys for a further five years proved unsuccessful for the company and to this end our bids were rejected.

The company advises that had it's bids been accepted, brand new, larger, wheelchair accessible, air conditioned vehicles would have been purchased for these routes.  However, the company will now concentrate it's efforts on providing an even better service on it's flagship route The Rossmore Flyer.

On a happier note, it has been announced that the company has been nominated for three awards at the Route One Excellence Awards to be staged in Birmingham on 22nd September.  The company has been nominated for the following awards:

UK Top Coach Operator
UK Top Bus Operator
UK Innovation Of The Year Award
Roadliner's Managing Director Mark Self commented "To be nominated for one award is a true honour.  However to be placed in the top three for no less than three categories is beyond all belief!"  A selection of the company's staff will be suited and booted at this gala event eagerly awaiting the results and will hope to return even more silverware back to Dorset to join the three trophies awarded at the UK Coach Rally earlier this year.

Come on Team Roadliner!

A much loved bus service returned to Poole’s roads on Saturday 28th March 2006.  The “The Parkstone and  Rossmore Flyer” (for details on the history of this route visit www.countrybus.co.uk), the new Route 8, replaced the existing 168 and 169 services previously operated by Yellow Buses.

The new bus, with its distinctive green livery, runs hourly on its traditional route linking Alderney East and Bourne Estate with the Ashley Road. The route has now also been extended to serve Lower Parkstone, meeting requests from residents in Alton Road, Sandecotes Road and Penn Hill Avenue for a direct service to their local shops.

The “Flyer” is supported by the Borough of Poole and is operated by Roadliner Passenger Transport.

Mark Self, Managing Director, Roadliner Passenger Transport, said: ”We are delighted to be working in partnership with the council to keep this important bus on the road.  We have a background in quality coach operation and we are applying the same standards to this project. The new Flyer has luxury seating, air conditioning and of course a very friendly driver.”
